Regarding the pressure required to break open the bottom valve

Dear colleagues, I need to install a pump on-site, and I’m currently fitting a bottom valve; the pipeline diameter is around DN300–DN350. What would be the typical loss associated with such a bottom valve?
This post was last edited by fanghuikang on 2016-4-26 at 15:37. I just found a software; I selected a bottom valve with a filter, model DN300, with a capacity of 900 cubic meters. The software automatically calculated a pressure loss of 1.3 meters of water column. Can this value be considered as the pressure required to open this bottom valve? Those among you who have experience, please share your thoughts. Thank you
