For a hydrogen production plant with a capacity of 40,000 standard cubic meters per hour, the maximum circulation rate of nitrogen in the compressor is 12,000 NM3/h. At full load, the unit produces approximately 61 tons per hour of medium-pressure steam, of which 26 tons per hour is supplied to external parties.

The software is sometimes incorrect; the estimation is mainly based on the nitrogen circulation rate, with a gas production volume of around 30 tons.
How is the heat load for that part of the furnace calculated? It surely isn’t proportional to the actual values. Can’t this part be calculated using the proportion of process gas?

I am generally aware of these situations. I want to know that the steam production volume is mainly due to the fact that we don’t have external supply of 3.5MPa steam; the steam required by the turbines also has to be generated for hydrogen production. Under normal operating conditions, this amount is sufficient, but I’m not sure about the situation during startup. Therefore, I would like to check whether there will be enough steam for the turbines, so as to plan the startup time accordingly.
