Issue of hydrogen sulfide pre-charging amount in the hydrogenation reactor

I read in some materials that during the pre-sulfurization of a hydrogenation reactor, when the hydrogen content in the reactor exceeds 6%, it can cause adverse reactions; I’m not sure if this is true. Could experts please shed some light on this?
Excess hydrogen above 6 can cause adverse reactions and have a long-term impact on the catalyst. The hydrogen consumption in the exhaust gas furnace is low.
During presulfiding, one factor is temperature and the other is hydrogen content. The temperature before presulfurization is generally not higher than 200°C, mainly to prevent the catalyst from undergoing reduction. As for the hydrogen content, it is generally kept between 2-4%; excessive hydrogen not only represents a waste but also can have an impact on subsequent processing steps!
Our project start-up plan also states that levels above 6% will cause adverse reactions, but no one can clearly explain what those reactions are.
An excessive amount of hydrogen can cause reactions of reduction of substances such as cobalt oxide during pre-sulfidization, resulting in the formation of elemental cobalt and similar compounds, thereby rendering the catalyst ineffective!
