Which of the following is a factor to consider in reducing material losses in chemical processes? A Chemical reaction equilibrium B Operating systems and methods C Process technology D Equipment and fittings. The online answer is CD, but I think it should be BCD Where does this question come from? I can’t find any textbooks from the Ten Da He Association. Seeking advice from experts

I think it’s also BCD; the operating system is part of the process technology, and the way it is operated involves personnel following the process procedures, with a certain degree of flexibility that allows for optimization.
It seems I’m not the only one who thinks this. But this question probably won’t be asked again, so there’s no need to worry about it
It is mentioned on page P78 of the association’s document, in the section on material losses; C and D are cited there, but I don’t think B is a problem either. If we follow the textbook strictly, it is clearly CD;
Optimizing the operating conditions to shift the equilibrium as much as possible toward a higher conversion rate can reduce material losses of the raw materials; so should A also be selected?
In my opinion, the intention of this question is to identify methods or ways to reduce material losses, rather than to find out the causes of those losses. Improper operation may cause losses, but it is not a method to reduce losses at the fundamental level.
The operating system and mode can be intermittent or continuous operation, and intermittent operation certainly results in greater material loss than continuous operation; based on this, option B should be chosen
