How to obtain an intermediate professional title (engineer)

Hello everyone! I have a master’s degree in thermal energy engineering; it has been over two years since I graduated. I have passed the CET-6 exam. I never paid much attention to professional titles before, so I didn’t even pursue a junior professional title – in other words, I am not even an assistant engineer at the moment. I’m not sure whether I am eligible to take the exam for a intermediate professional title (engineer). If it’s possible to take this exam directly, is it required to combine assessments with examinations, or is it sufficient to just sit for a defense? I hope those with more experience can help answer my questions. Thank you so much!
One can take the exam for an intermediate professional title directly; those with a master’s degree are considered assistant engineers by default.

English, computer modules, as well as publishing papers or participating in major projects – once all these requirements are met, evaluation can be carried out.

Go to the second floor, bring your identification, educational certificates, degree certificates, and a letter of recommendation from your employer, then go to the local human resources service office to handle the procedures. In the past, it was necessary to arrange for file storage and pay a fee for that service; it’s not clear whether this is still required now. One can apply directly for an intermediate professional title.

It’s a direct evaluation process. My chemical process engineer has a master’s degree, and he became an intermediate engineer after just 3 years – no exams required. I also have a CET-6 score, haha
By specialty, and also by region. In Beijing, for some majors, a combination of assessment and evaluation is required; students must take the aforementioned exams within two years of graduating from graduate school and prepare a thesis.
