Currently, the shutdown feature is available only for moderators and forum administrators; it is very inconvenient for those who are in charge of organizing the daily quiz. On one hand, if the daily quiz isn’t shut down in time, the forum will soon be filled entirely with such quizzes. If no points are awarded, it reduces everyone’s willingness to participate; but if points are given, the moderators responsible for organizing the daily quiz quickly run out of points, which is also a problem； If the Daily Question is available only for two or three days, those who want to participate in it must log in to Haichuan promptly, as there will be no second chance once the time passes. Several moderators from the coalification forum asked me why the feature had disappeared; on their behalf, I hope that the admin will consider this matter. @Cleaner

Moderators (real* ) should be given the permission to turn topics on and off. But at the same time, the regional super moderators need to guide and inform the moderators in their respective areas (real*) about which posts should be closed and which ones should not. For example: Currently, it’s not allowed to close threads with resource attachments (but many moderators still have the habit or prefer to close such threads)
I guess the cleaner boss’s intention in restricting the shutdown function was also to address the issue of resource-sharing posts.
Some settings determine whether replies are visible; if they are turned off, replies cannot be sent and will not be visible
Originally, many of the daily questions were designed to increase the popularity of that section; they were basic questions, and most of the users who participated did so in order to make money
For the function, just explain the requirements for turning it off.
The key issue is that even without scoring, some users from Haiyou don’t log in to Shanghai Chuan for many days; once they do log in occasionally, they reply to all the previous daily questions, which results in the page being dominated by those daily questions. Some moderators have no choice but to move those posts to lower positions, yet they are still brought back to the top of the page by users from Haiyou from time to time. Resource-sharing posts cannot be closed; the moderators all know this @Cleaner
