Seeking advice regarding the decrease in wastewater pH caused by the use of stainless steel partitions in the retention tank

Hello everyone. The No. 1 treatment tank now features automatic alkali addition, keeping the pH at around 7.5. Five stainless steel partitions were installed in the No. 2 treatment tank; however, during actual operation, the pH of the water exiting this tank dropped to around 6.2, requiring manual alkali addition again to adjust the pH. I would like to know the reasons for the drop in pH in the No. 2 treatment tank and how it can be improved
Series connection of No. 1 and No. 2? Take water samples from different locations and measure to see if the pH is 7.5
