The ball valve has a round interior that allows it to rotate 360 degrees, but the turbine probably can’t do that. There’s a high likelihood that there is a fault with your turbine box, though this isn’t ruled out entirely; the seal surface may get damaged when the ball is near its closed position, or foreign objects could cause problems with the valve body.
Firstly, the actuator itself allows for a adjustment range of plus or minus 5 degrees in opening angle, due to inevitable dead zones such as the gap between the valve stem and the turbine box, as well as the gaps between the gears in the turbine box. In your case, it’s necessary to determine whether the new valve will function properly once installed; if that’s the case, it means the manufacturer has adjusted it accordingly – the valve can be fully closed only when the temperature reaches 95 degrees ; If it changes to this state later on, then abnormal wear needs to be considered.
When it is adjusted to 95%, check whether the fluid in the pipeline is flowing; if not, set the electric actuator to the closed position. If you want to keep the valve in a completely closed position, it’s best to check whether the valve seat is deformed or has any foreign objects stuck in it
