Renovating old devices: how to resolve and standardize conflict issues.

The safety distances in the existing device layouts are all based on standards from 20 years ago. If renovated and expanded according to existing standards, none of them will meet the specifications. For this situation, how should it be designed without violating the regulations? Don’t tell me about tearing it down and rebuilding it. . . :L
This is a bit difficult... Try adjusting the position of other devices (you still have to knock them down;P). The problem is that it doesn’t meet current regulations – how can it pass all the inspection requirements?
There’s basically no space for renovation; everything is crammed together. It is recommended to communicate more with the owners and offer them reasonable suggestions; it is up to them to decide whether to adopt them or not.
It doesn’t meet the standards; it can’t be accepted either. The design must have its own principles
