Technical background: At present, the insulation materials used in fields such as heat and power pipelines and equipment insulation in China, as well as in urban heating and green buildings, generally suffer from poor thermal insulation properties, short service life, and difficulties in installation; these issues result in significant energy waste every year. The Ministry of Construction has explicitly stipulated that the heat transfer efficiency of the heating network in urban heating systems must be over 90%. At present, China continues to use traditional insulation methods for insulating steam pipelines, with the main insulation materials being rock wool, glass wool, and silicate products. Since these materials are not waterproof or prone to getting damp, and they are exposed to water or water vapor during use, once they come into contact with water, their insulating properties **decrease until they are completely lost. In particular, insulation materials made from materials such as rock wool and glass wool are very difficult to work with during installation. Most importantly, its glass fibers can easily spread and become airborne, causing severe harm to the human body. Its energy-saving effect when used alone is also not very satisfactory, **and environmental protection authorities do not encourage companies to use it. According to statistics from authoritative agencies, improper insulation usage across the country results in energy losses of around 13 billion yuan per year for enterprises in the thermal power and related industries. Therefore, given the current situation of thermal power enterprises in China, a steam pipeline insulation material that is both cost-effective and energy-saving, as well as capable of providing excellent heat retention, insulation, and moisture resistance, is what everyone in the thermal power industry is hoping for. Under these circumstances, by taking into account market demands as well as its own years of advanced manufacturing technology for insulation materials, Xingchen has developed a new type of insulation material suitable for energy savings in long-distance pipeline heating networks worldwide. Product features: This product is a new type of environmentally friendly insulating material that is soft, lightweight, and easy to install. Its main features are as follows: First, the product adopts a composite sandwich structure design, with aluminum foil multi-layer composite materials on the inner and outer surfaces, and a PE polyethylene air bag in the middle layer; this design enables the product to provide excellent cushioning as well as heat insulation properties. Aluminum foil has excellent barrier properties; it is good at preventing moisture and retaining heat. Even when heat penetrates through the inner aluminum foil layer to reach the middle PE air pocket layer, thermal convection occurs in that middle layer, making it difficult for heat to penetrate the outermost aluminum foil layer. This enables effective heat insulation. II. The product is soft, lightweight, and easy to install. The weight per square meter is only between 250-500g. It is free of dust, toxic substances, and odors, and does not cause any harm to the health of those who work with it. It has a low thermal conductivity, a high thermal resistance value R, and a high reflectivity. III. As demonstrated by tests conducted on model projects for pipeline insulation in various locations across the country, this insulation material can achieve the following results for long-distance heat pipelines: 1. Temperature drop along the pipeline: Thanks to the specialized technologies designed for long-distance heat networks, the temperature drop per kilometer decreases from 15–20°C to 4–8°C. 2. High efficiency: Excellent thermal conductivity improves the efficiency of heat networks by more than 5%, and it can even reach 97%. 3. Lower investment costs: It can save more than 5% in investment for pipeline networks. By combining specialized technologies for long-distance heat distribution networks with conventional materials, this new material allows the transmission distance of heat over a single pipeline to be increased by nearly 3 times, reaching 30 kilometers; it thus plays a very important role in ensuring the efficient and rational utilization of heat resources. It shows even more advantages in pipeline network renovation: time savings, labor savings, and material savings. Put simply, it’s like putting on a \"thermal insulation coat\" for the pipes, one that possesses functions such as being lightweight, moisture-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and capable of insulating against heat. It is widely used in thermal power generation, the petroleum industry, heating systems, boilers, and other related enterprises, as well as in industrial pipeline design institutes and construction and installation companies. The product developed by Xingchen was awarded a **patent for invention in 2009 (patent number: 200910178894.2). It represents a significant technological breakthrough and advancement in the field of energy-saving insulation materials in China. For the first time, it managed to integrate \"heat insulation\" and \"thermal insulation\" through innovative design techniques, resulting in a product that is both economical and practical. The widespread use of this material has led to genuine energy savings and emission reductions. Its introduction has greatly promoted breakthrough progress in the field of energy conservation within China’s thermoelectric industry, and it will undoubtedly have a profound and positive impact on the innovation and development of energy-saving insulation materials in our country.
