Our plant’s coke ovens are of the JN60-6 type, with 4*55 tuyeres. The current coal blending ratio is approximately 38-40% hard coking coal, 16-20% fat coal, 28-30% semi-hard coking coal, and 12-14% lean coal. The particle size distribution of the coke produced after screening is as follows: 3.77% with a size of over 80 mesh, 26.28% between 60-80 mesh, 42.88% between 40-60 mesh, 18.16% between 25-40 mesh, and 8.99% with a size of less than 25 mesh. However, the blast furnace has consistently indicated that the coke particle size is too small, with a high ratio of coke to iron per ton (around 45 kg), and there is a need to improve the particle size. Could you all, experts, please provide information on your plant’s coke particle size distribution and the ratio of coke to iron per ton? (The sieve mesh sizes for the metallurgical coke used in blast furnaces and the coke powder are 22 mm and 12 mm respectively.) Also, please help us check whether our mixing ratio is reasonable. Additionally, the carbon content of our plant’s coke is between 86-87%, M10 is between 6.0-6.8%, CSR is between 65-69%, and CRI is between 20-25%. The central temperature of the coke cake ranges from 1100 to 1130, while the coking time is adjusted between 20 and 25 hours. The coal fineness is kept between 68 and 72, and the heating mode for the coke oven is 3 coks per 1 heater. The level in the blast furnace trough remains between 2 and 4 meters, with the blast furnace volumes being 2200 and 2600 m3.
Could you provide the G and Y values for the blending coal? It is appropriate to keep the temperature at the coking center between 950 and 1050. If the temperature at the coking center is too high, the coke is over-cooked, the volatile matter content is low, and the coke particles are small, resulting in an increased proportion of coke dings.
I was negligent. The coal used in our factory has a G value of 78-80 ; The Y value is between 16 and 20.
The G and Y values for the blending coal are both suitable; try lowering the standard temperature (that is, reduce the temperature at the center and at the bottom of the coal pile accordingly)
