Today, a customer called and asked whether it’s possible to control the opening and closing of a valve using an electromagnetic valve without needing a gas supply, for use with control valves. Is such a thing possible?

Our systems do use solenoid valves to control the opening and closing of valves via liquid pressure; this is the case with the self-cleaning filters, where the pressure of the medium itself or pressure release is utilized, with no external power source apparent on the surface.
Self-acting control valves do not require a gas source.

Solenoid valves can be used directly for opening and closing pipelines, as their diaphragms made of different materials offer incomparable advantages~~
The medium used in solenoid valves can be water, oil, or corrosive liquids. There are several types of solenoid valves: those with metal pistons and those that are direct-acting; the latter are operated by the electromagnetic force generated by the coil to open and close, but they are suitable for applications with small flow rates and low pressures; Metal piston pilot-operated solenoid valves are opened and closed by the magnetic force of the solenoid coil and the pressure of the fluid within the pipeline; they are suitable for applications with pressure differences, at both high and low pressures, as well as for large flow rates ; Finally, there is the step-by-step direct-acting solenoid valve that starts with zero pressure difference from Chase, but its maximum operating pressure cannot exceed 3 MPa
Solenoid valves can have their opening and closing controlled by other media
