Question from a non-expert in electricity: When the three-phase currents are unbalanced, the neutral wire becomes charged, and the appliance’s casing also gets a charge. If the neutral wire breaks, the appliance’s casing can become directly exposed to live electricity, which is even more dangerous. Why does the casing become charged?
One phase has poor insulation and has short-circuited.
