Gentlemen, our supervisor wants us to use PROII to simulate the dew point temperature at the top of the atmospheric pressure tower. I specialize in process engineering; I have no experience in design work, nor have I used PROII before. We don’t trust the simulation data provided by the design institute, as they claim it’s incorrect, yet they insist that I carry out the simulation for the dew point conditions at the tower’s top. I would like to ask everyone here: what data does the design institute need to provide in order to simulate the dew point temperature at the tower’s top? What information is required to carry out such a simulation?
Just the dew point at the tower top? Then it is possible to consider using the top pressure plus the composition of the vapor phase for simulation, as in PRO/II, the dew point can be calculated back from the composition and pressure data

Well, at a constant pressure, the dew point of a mixture is related to its composition; different compositions result in different dew points. .
