What are the functions or purposes of the waste hydrogen produced in hydrorefining?
Increase the purity of circulating hydrogen, raise the hydrogen partial pressure in the unit, and maintain a constant inlet pressure for circulating hydrogen
If the reaction pressure is too high, can it be controlled by releasing hydrogen gas?
Discharging hydrogen is generally done to control the purity of the circulating hydrogen and to regulate the bed temperature in case of an accident. During normal operation, the reaction pressure can be controlled by adjusting the amount of fresh hydrogen supplied; discharging waste hydrogen is too wasteful
It’s possible, but it’s a bit of a waste; it can be adjusted using a compressor, or by reducing the hydrogen pressure
It is mainly to improve the purity of the recycled hydrogen and control the pressure in the reaction system, though it’s a bit wasteful
What about the compression ratio of that cyclic hydrogen compressor?
This indicates that the purity of the raw hydrogen is not high enough; some emission will help increase the hydrogen concentration, thereby improving the conversion rate!
The synthesis pressure should preferably be controlled using a compressor bypass!
