Can GB8163 20# steel pipes withstand high temperatures of 400 degrees?
Generally up to a maximum of 450 degrees Celsius, depending on the pressure it has to withstand and whether the stress requirements can be met.
The material itself is sufficient, but it is also close to the critical temperature of 425°C. So it is generally not used, after all, the higher the temperature, the lower the strength, which means that pipes made of other materials need to be used instead.
It is rarely used; generally, 15CRMO pipes are chosen for temperatures of 400 degrees
Theoretically, 20# can be used below 425°C. Temperatures above 425 degrees will cause graphitization.
Pressure vessels are not allowed. It’s probably tough enough to be a tongs holder.
It is not recommended to use such a critical design, as instability in the load can easily lead to overloading, with unpredictable consequences
