Differences between cross-flow pumps and piston pumps

I have a question for everyone: what is the difference between a cross-flow pump and a plunger pump? What is the difference in the liquids suitable for each of the two pumps? For viscous liquids (neutral) with a viscosity as high as 2000 cSt, what type of pump would be suitable? The required pump output flow rate is 200 ml/hr. It’s for the laboratory, it’s very small. Those who know it, please tell me.
