For the hydrogen desulfurization stripping tower, what are the reasons for choosing hydrogen stripping and steam stripping? Describe whether it is diesel hydrogenation, gasoline hydrogenation, hydrocracking, or some other process
Diesel hydrogenation units use steam stripping for a very simple reason: steam is much cheaper than hydrogen!
The stripping tower here can use either steam or hydrogen; the effect is the same in both cases, which is to reduce the partial pressure of the oil and gas. The design institute stated that steam can be used under normal circumstances; when the amount of steam is insufficient, the hydrogen valve should be opened to use hydrogen for stripping. We carry out coal tar hydrogenation as well as refined cracking
The purpose of stripping is to reduce the vapor pressure of hydrocarbons, thereby enabling better stripping of hydrogen sulfide from the oil.

Here we carry out diesel hydrogenation, and the stripping tower operates using 1.0 Mpa of steam
We use steam; I would like to know what proportion of hydrogen should be used, as well as what the pressure in the stripping tower should be. We have a hydrogen desulfurization unit for recovering hydrogen, and we want to switch to using hydrogen for stripping – please advise

Using hydrogen stripping significantly reduces the water content in the product and gives it a good color, but it poses safety risks, as the hydrogen dissolved in the oil can be released during storage and transportation.
