Does any member know about the 6# solvent leaching process for clay oil? I have a question to ask! The main process flow is as follows: The oil-containing spent clay is fed into the mixing tank via a feeder, and 6# solvent (n-hexane) is added simultaneously. After thorough mixing and soaking, it is transferred to the sedimentation tank. In the sedimentation tank, the spent kaolin settles naturally, while the vegetable oil dissolves in solvent No. 6, resulting in a separation between the two phases. The upper supernatant (solvent No. 6 + vegetable oil) is taken out for distillation to separate the vegetable oil from the solvent, with the solvent being recovered. The lower layer of white clay is dried to recover the solvent. Density of white clay: 0.9–1.2; density of No. 6 solvent oil: 0.7. Problem: Recently, the waste white clay does not settle easily, which results in poor solid-liquid separation and significantly affects production! I earnestly ask all the experienced users for their advice; if this problem can be solved, I’ll be extremely grateful and willing to offer a generous reward! :lol

I just saw your message; I’m not sure if you’ve solved the problem yet. I have an idea that you might find useful: remove the dryer and use a filter of the type that uses decolorizing and filtering clay for direct filtration. The filter cake should be blown clean with steam, while the exhaust gases should pass through a condenser to be condensed; the resulting liquid then goes into a water separation tank. This also solves the problem of easy coking in the evaporator
