The outer diameter of the middle stepped portion is Φ70, and the surface appears to be chrome-plated, serving to hold the mechanical seal in place. It can no longer be used due to surface damage caused by the failure of the O-ring inside the rotating ring of the mechanical seal some time ago. This bushing is quite expensive (near 20,000), and it has only been in use for a short time; I think it would be a shame to discard it just like that. I would like to ask everyone, is it possible to fix it? What method to use? Is it possible to recrackle the damaged section of the step and then machine it on a grinder? What are the typical requirements for surface tolerance and roughness in this case? I can’t see the image; if there is corrosion in the area of the machine seal O-ring, chromium-nickel alloy should be applied there. A roughness level of 0.8–1.6 is acceptable.
Things like bushings are very cheap; you can have them made as domestic imitations. Then, a cemented carbide coating can be sprayed on the old bushing, and it can be used. With a cemented carbide coating, it can resist acids and alkalis and also has high hardness

Just find a manufacturer to do the surveying and mapping for you. . . The Japanese charge way too much for these accessories. . I won’t take even one-tenth of the price. . .
Well, we are a state-owned steel company; the design of our production lines was carried out by a institute in Anshan. We have no strategic partnership with any Japanese pump manufacturers – I simply use their equipment and then share the profits. So, the prices of pumps and spare parts are exorbitantly high; a mechanical seal costs nearly 60,000, while a metal wound gasket costs 3,000! TMD, we all work for them. . .
The Japanese are trying to trick you; repairing the bushing is very easy, as there are manufacturers all over the country who can do it. It’s also easy to make one again according to the drawings.
