How is the calculation done for continuously operating mixing tanks? Does anyone have a formal calculation sheet that has been used in actual projects?
Who would use ASPEN to model continuously operating stirred tanks?
If I don’t have information on reaction kinetics, I only have the time required for the reaction during batch processing as provided by the manufacturer (it’s not exactly the time needed to complete the reaction; it’s just a time frame within which the reaction can be completed, with some extra time possibly remaining), as well as the concentrations of the reactants at the inlet and outlet, along with the reaction conditions. Can I simulate a CSTR?
