I would like to ask fellow sailors: can a silencer be installed at the exhaust pipe of a diaphragm pump arbitrarily? Is there an issue with the selection of the silencer? Our leader says we should install a silencer from a dryer at the exhaust pipe of the diaphragm pump. Is that feasible? Thank you for your answer! We use a DN25 connection at the interface where DN25 changes to DN20.
It is recommended to consider the pressure drop of the silencer, keeping it as low as possible to ensure the pump’s performance; theoretically, this is feasible if the performance can be maintained.
You need to check whether the exhaust port of the pump, as specified in its parameters and description, can be connected to a damper~
