Does anyone know the difference between wax-type hydrocracking and naphtha-type hydrocracking? ?
Your question is a bit vague; I’m not sure where to start answering. Simply put, their catalysts are different, and their target products are different.

Does naphtha also need hydrocracking? I have seen a lot of hydrogenation and hydrofining processes, but I have never seen naphtha hydrocracking.
As I understand it, it’s due to differences in the degree of reaction: naphtha-type materials primarily produce light components, while wax oil-type materials (I don’t seem to have heard of this term) mainly produce heavy components, for use in catalysis? Or lubricant hydrogenation~ In this case, both the process conditions and the catalysts need to be significantly different~
I’m referring to wax oil hydrogenation. In China, the processes for wax oil hydrogenation allow for flexible product adjustments; there are full-cycle processes designed primarily for the production of heavy naphtha, as well as one-pass processes for producing ethylene feedstock.
