Connection method between the flare riser and the tower

Due to layout constraints of the existing flare pipeline, it first extends horizontally eastward for 80m before rising vertically up the tower. As a result, there is a horizontal displacement of 50mm in the eastward direction; the vertical section is 20m long, and four supports are installed along this section – the first one from the bottom serves as a load-bearing support, while the other three serve as guide supports； If none of the four supports restrict horizontal displacement, the lateral load generated by the flare stack is 0 ； If the second, third, and fourth guide frames are used to restrict the horizontal movement of the flare pipeline, these three guide frames will generate a load of 2–15 tons ； May I ask if rubber pads or similar can be used between the torch riser and the tower connection? ； Can there be lateral displacement at the connection between the flare riser and the tower? Are there any regulations?
I think that level of horizontal displacement you mentioned isn’t a big issue. First, the stress must be manageable, and then it depends on whether the reaction force exerted by your support structure on the torch is within acceptable limits; if so, there’s no problem.
