My major is applied chemistry; can I apply to become a registered chemical engineer?
There are no issues with the Bachelor of Science in Applied Chemistry and the Bachelor of Engineering; engineering programs are fine. A Bachelor of Science degree is not required as per the regulations, but there are precedents of successful applications and the issuance of certificates. So the best way is to ask in your own province.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree. May I ask which specific department or institution I should turn to? I am from Hunan and work in Yunnan
Applied chemistry is a science discipline; one cannot apply to become a registered chemical engineer, as only those with an engineering economics background are eligible for such a position
Regarding this question, I would say that when looking at the requirements, did you see that those who are not from the relevant field can take the exam as long as they have met the required working experience? So everyone is eligible to take the exam, provided they are lucky enough
I also majored in applied chemistry (science); I passed the exam in 2016. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to obtain the certificate successfully
