After sulfidation is completed during gasoline hydrogenation operations, passivation is required. Can the naphtha used for passivation be recycled for this purpose? What are the impacts? Must we still use new naphtha? Do we need to get rid of the old naphtha?

Generally, passivation is achieved through naphtha circulation, which helps to stabilize the catalyst’s activity and prevents issues such as overheating and hot spots.
Depending on the catalyst requirements, there are those that do not require passivation.
