Teams are the foundation of safe production; they are the source of accidents, the basis for ensuring safety in production, and also the destination toward which safe production strives. Statistical analysis of a large number of accident records shows that 98% of accidents occur in production teams, and more than 80% of the causes are directly related to the team members. Team safety determines the fate of a company’s safe production; the safety in the team’s production and operational processes is the ultimate goal of all safety-related efforts. As the most direct leader of a team, the team leader must guide the employees to ensure safety throughout the production process. How can team leaders ensure safe production in their teams? Please abide by these nine safety guidelines for work! 1. Be responsible for the safety of the team during work and production activities. 2. Strictly implement safety policies, and in accordance with the relevant regulations of the organization, enforce all safety rules and procedures as well as the shift-handover system. 3. Carry out regular safety training for work teams, and urge workers to comply with safety operating procedures. 4. Use mechanical equipment, tools, raw materials, safety facilities, personal protective equipment, etc., properly, and ensure they are in good condition. 5. Adhere to daily safety inspections, promptly eliminate potential accident hazards, and report any issues that cannot be resolved to higher authorities immediately. 6 Maintain civilized production in the workplace, and ensure that finished products, semi-finished materials, and waste materials are stored properly. 7 A safety activity is organized once a week; pre-shift and post-shift meetings are held in each shift to review safety work, carry out accident prediction activities, etc. 8. Do not give orders that violate regulations, and have the right to refuse such orders from superiors. In the event of an accident or emergency, have the authority to immediately order workers to evacuate the site and to report the situation to the workshop right away. In the event of an injury accident, it is necessary to promptly organize efforts to rescue the injured, preserve the scene, report the incident immediately, and provide an accurate account of what happened.
