Ammonia spraying on the bridge tubes of the coke oven rising pipes was stopped for some reason, which caused the temperature of those bridge tubes to rise; blue smoke emerged from the joints between the bridge tubes and the gas collection pipes. What type of combustion is responsible for this blue smoke?

If the ammonia supply is stopped, there’s no time to worry about whether blue smoke is being produced – this could lead to a serious accident over time. When blue smoke appears after stopping the ammonia supply, it should be about 20 minutes later, and an emergency plan should be activated at that point.
