The standard specifies 1 megohm per kilovolt; it’s acceptable to have a value lower than this standard in practice. What are the actual situations people encounter in their work?
This post was last edited by scbdyz on 2016-6-24 at 18:11. It deals with 380V motors of 0.5 megawatts; they are old-style motors that are prone to getting damp, so electric heating was added to dry them out in case of power outages.
Generally, 380V motors require periodic maintenance, and those with low insulation resistance are dried out. But in the case of submersible pumps, as long as they function properly, there’s no need to worry too much, because there is one resistance value when they are in water and another resistance value when they are clean
Can it deliver power even at 0.1? Is that the case?
