What is the maximum allowable temperature for a chain grate?

Our 15-ton thermal oil furnace was upgraded with a bag filter system; as a result, the area of the air preheater was increased. The blower temperature rose from 120 degrees to 170 degrees, while the temperature of the grate plates reached around 150 degrees. Is it harmful for the grate to operate at high temperatures for a long time? What problems will arise?

We have a 10-ton boiler that, after modification, has an air inlet at 160 degrees; the grate lasts half as long before breaking as before.
