Dear experts: Today, I saw in the parts list for the annual maintenance of our unit’s compressor that 1,600 exhaust springs were listed, at a price of over 20 yuan each. I was wondering if really that many exhaust springs are necessary for the maintenance
If replacements are to be made on a cycle basis, the total number required should be determined based on the quantity needed for each air valve.
According to the maintenance procedures, based on the service life of the intake and exhaust springs,
Thank you for your answer. I also want to ask, for a 500,000 cubic meter ARIEL reciprocating compressor, how many exhaust springs are needed for one exhaust valve? Do you know?
This is related to the service life of the air valves and the number of air valves installed in the machine; moreover, the air valve springs are designed for single-use only. Used old springs cannot be reused.
Is a spring 20 yuan? It’s too expensive.

Based on the general experience we have in valve design, under normal circumstances, the number of springs is equal to the valve diameter divided by 10; this is the number of springs required for a valve. In fact, 1600 springs is not considered a large number. For level 4 compression, there are 32 air valves in total, with 20 springs per valve; therefore, one machine requires 640 springs. All Ariel products are imported; each spring costs 20 yuan, which is considered a relatively low price. Many of the springs we import ourselves cost around 39 yuan

Some valves have just over a dozen springs; the number isn’t that large. But the price of your springs is exorbitant.
