Hello, friends. The company has assigned me the task of managing pressure vessels, but I don’t have any experience in this area. I would be extremely grateful if you could help me. 1. What are the main tasks that need to be carried out for pressure vessels, and what is the division of labor with the production workshop? ; 2. Could you send me the templates for the ledgers, records, etc., that you use? (QQ Email: 526359136@qq.com)
Recommendation: First, study your company’s regulations and procedures for pressure vessels, and then study the \"Technical Regulations for Safety Supervision of Fixed Pressure Vessels\" TSG 21-2016 (which was newly issued and is in effect as of October 1)
Maintain a register including container parameters, dates and results of annual inspections, dates of comprehensive inspections and dates for the next inspection, as well as archived reports.
I am also the special equipment supervisor at our company. You can add me as a friend to communicate more

First, submit an application to the local Technical Quality Supervision Bureau; they have detailed requirements
First, you need to obtain a certification in order to be qualified to manage special equipment. Pressure vessels, pressure pipelines, and special vehicles require different certificates!
If one is only responsible for the management of pressure vessels, the workload is much less compared to that of pressure pipelines. To properly manage pressure vessels, the following points should be considered: 1. Quickly learn the relevant standards and regulations. As for obtaining certifications, it seems that there is no such requirement at present; could what was mentioned on floor 9 refer to an operation certificate? :Lol. 2. Collect and organize all the drawings of pressure vessels within the company, as well as various quality documents related to them. If your company is building a new factory, it will take some time to establish a comprehensive record of all the pressure vessels in the company; if not, these documents should already be available. Otherwise, it will be difficult to obtain usage permits or to carry out annual inspections. 3. Pressure vessel supervisors are usually located in the company’s technical department, not in the production workshops. Their daily tasks involve going to the production sites to check the operating condition of the vessels, with a focus on whether the production departments are operating beyond specified limits, whether the safety accessories are functioning properly and within their valid inspection period, and whether there are any leaks, vibrations, or abnormal noises during the operation of the vessels. When issues are identified, they need to be pointed out promptly, and the production or other relevant departments should be asked to make corrections. 4. Develop a schedule for regular inspections of pressure vessels, and arrange such inspections at appropriate times within the company’s planned maintenance period. These inspections are usually carried out by professionals, with the pressure vessel supervisor playing a role in coordination. The period of inspection is when the most work is done, and it is also when the most experience and knowledge can be gained. It is recommended to inspect and communicate with professionals whenever possible for each vessel; you will surely benefit from this approach. 5. Follow-up feedback on the rectification of issues identified during regular inspections; major issues may also involve the scrapping of containers, among other things. A reminder: any minor issues should be discussed with a professional inspector; otherwise, they may shorten the scheduled inspection interval, which is unnecessary, increases the workload, and raises the cost of annual inspections.
