Currently, a multi-stage centrifugal pump with a flow rate of 1 m3/h and a head of 100 m is in use, with DN25 pipes at both the inlet and outlet of the pump. Due to the pipeline conditions on site, the pump outlet needs to connect to a buried pipe of DN50 starting from DN25, with a length of about 40 meters, before turning back into a DN25 pipe – will this have an impact on the pipelines?
This is mainly to check whether DN50 buried pipes can be used.
The pipes will definitely work; the key question is whether using 50mm pipes will have an impact on the piping system, such as on the end control devices. . . .

The pipeline is fine, just like at the pump inlet
At the pump outlet, valves, instruments, etc. are installed using a section of DN25 pipe; using reducer fittings that transition from DN25 to DN50 allows for connection to the underground pipes without any issues.
There’s no problem with exports, as long as the traffic can be properly controlled ahead.
By controlling the flow rate at the outlet and the inlet pressure, check whether the pump’s current exceeds the limit;
It has an impact: due to changes in pipe diameter, it is necessary to use concentric reducer fittings; bends are required from the surface to underground, and there is a certain height difference, which increases the loss in head pressure. The head has changed ;
A larger pipe diameter results in relatively lower pipeline resistance, while more elbows in the pipeline increase the resistance. Overall, this has no effect on the pipeline itself nor on the pump; there is generally no issue with overcurrent, unless the motor of the pump is undersized.
