What are the advantages of Mannesmann and Siemens for the entire air compressor unit?
MAN’s air compressors are good, and Siemens’ boosters are good.
Mann is the technology behind GHH borsig, while Siemens is the technology behind Demag. For modular air compressors, Mann’s products are good; in terms of centrifuges, Siemens far outperforms Mann.
MAN’s single-shaft machines are based on Sulzer’s technology, while its multi-shaft gear machines are based on GHH’s technology. As someone who works on maintenance, MAN’s single-shaft engines are durable and easy to maintain. Removing and installing the volutes and interstage pipes of high-flow Siemens main air compressors is truly a pain.
