Pressure vessel, manhole, medium: gas. DN500, PN40, MFM sealing surface. Whether to use a gasket with an inner ring or one with both inner and outer rings. And for what types of sealing flanges and pressures are gaskets with an inner ring or those with both inner and outer rings suitable?
For uneven surfaces, metal gaskets with only an inner ring should be used!

The side with the ring is the side where extrusion by shims needs to be prevented; in your case it’s MFM, and the inner side is the side where extrusion needs to be avoided, which means it’s a type B belt with an internal ring.
