Starting from 2012, the project was gradually brought to a halt, and it is only now that the basic design has begun. The process package has been reviewed; next, the preliminary design will begin. The preliminary design goes deeper in detail than the content of the process package. What specific tasks do the owner and the design institute need to carry out for the basic design, based on the process package? What are the main aspects of the deeper development of the design content? What are the main aspects that are explored in greater depth regarding processes, equipment, and instruments? Take a look at the provisions in Sinopec Standard SHSG-052-2003 regarding the process design package for petrochemical plants (comprehensive technical and process package), the provisions in SHSG-033-2008 concerning the foundation engineering design for petrochemical plants, and the provisions in SHSG-053-2011 regarding the detailed engineering design for petrochemical plants. Compare them on your own and you’ll understand.
