Water seal at the top of the solvent (methyl diethanolamine) tank

Have the water seals at the top of the solvent storage tanks all been installed? We haven’t installed a water seal; only a small amount of nitrogen is filled at the top of the storage tank. Is that acceptable?
We don’t have this component here; it’s only used to maintain a slight positive pressure for nitrogen! It’s probably to prevent oxidation!
How is a water seal used in northern regions during winter? Normally, a self-acting pressure regulator is used, and nitrogen is introduced to ensure that the amine solution in the system does not come into contact with air (oxygen). In practice, it is difficult to find suitable micro-pressure regulators, and few of them function properly; therefore, a stream of nitrogen gas is more commonly used.:)
Our water seals are in normal operation; if they were not used, it would be impossible to maintain the pressure in the storage tank, and a large amount of nitrogen would be required. In winter, there is a heating line; our lowest temperature reaches minus 30 degrees, and it still operates normally.
