In my opinion, the toothed gasket seal should involve a toothed ring and the flange surface; I’m not sure if my understanding is correct What is the role of the flexible graphite in the outer coating? Can we do without this layer of graphite? Process conditions: 7.0 MPa, 400℃
No, it’s impossible to seal anything without graphite; if you don’t believe me, you can give it a try.
It's good to have graphite, as it serves a sealing function. I’ve seen posts before about ones that don’t use graphite; I’m not sure about the pressure and temperature
