In a stabilizer tower, what is the distillation section and what is the stripping section? What are their functions? When is more operation in the distillation section and when is more operation in the stripping section?
Towers are divided into complete towers and incomplete towers; the section above the feed inlet is the distillation section, while the section below it is the stripping section, with the feed inlet serving as the boundary! It depends on where your product comes from, whether from the top or the bottom of the tower; adjust that section according to the product quality!

It depends on where your product comes from, whether from the top or the bottom of the tower; adjust that section according to the product quality! The stabilizer tower is a complete tower. The rectification section is used to increase the purity of the product at the top of the tower (the light components), while the stripping section is used to increase the purity of the product at the bottom of the tower (the heavy components). Generally, it depends on the seasonal changes: at certain times more distillation takes place, while at other times more stripping occurs.
