After fermenting pig manure to produce biogas, the ammonia nitrogen level becomes too high; we want to add a carbon source to remove this ammonia nitrogen. What should be the appropriate carbon-to-nitrogen ratio in this case?
Ammonia nitrogen nitrification is sufficient; there’s no need to consider a carbon source. Is the ammonia nitrogen level in the effluent high, or is it because the ammonia nitrogen level after anaerobic treatment is too high when it enters the aerobic stage?
