Notice on Convening the “Special Seminar on the Development and Application of Pretreatment Technologies for Highly Polluting Wastewater from Coal Gasification/Coal Coking” To all relevant units: The 13th Five-Year Plan period represents a crucial stage in the development of China’s coal chemical industry. The coal chemical industry not only bears the responsibility for the clean and efficient utilization of coal, but also plays a key role in the transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure. At the same time, with the promulgation and implementation of China’s new Environmental Protection Law, the construction and operation of coal chemical projects will face stricter environmental oversight and penalties. The treatment of highly polluted wastewater generated from coal gasification and coal coking is extremely difficult, and has become a factor that affects and restricts the development of new coal chemical industries in our country. To thoroughly explore and address this key technical issue, the China Coal Processing and Utilization Association, in collaboration with South China University of Technology, is organizing a symposium on the development and application of pretreatment technologies for highly polluted wastewater generated in coal gasification/coke production, to be held in Guangzhou from December 7 to 9, 2016. The seminar will invite authoritative experts in the industry, researchers from relevant institutions, technical personnel from coal chemical manufacturing enterprises, well-known professional service providers, and top-quality equipment manufacturers. Its aim is to conduct an in-depth analysis of cases involving high-pollutant wastewater in the coal chemical sector, using professional technical insights, advanced practical solutions, detailed operational data, and optimized solutions, thereby providing technical support for the treatment of such wastewater in coal chemical enterprises and effectively improving the standards for its treatment.
