What are the model codes for the cables used for power supply, grounding, and interconnection within control panels in engineering design? 24VDC power cable, 220VAC power cable, grounding cable, signal wiring cable between panels/cabinets
Cable model? What does code mean? ERP code? For 24V systems, options of 1 square meter, 1.5 square meters, or 2.5 square meters are available; the choice should be made based on the length of the cable and the specifications of the electrical equipment, with 1.5 square meters generally being sufficient. The model is generally KVVRP, which is a shielded flexible cable. Generally, 2*1.5 and 3*1.5 are the options chosen. 220V meter cable – either flexible or rigid is fine, depending on what’s available in the warehouse; it’s used infrequently, so anything will do. Power is generally drawn from the electrical system through electrical cable trays; 2*2.5 is sufficient. To go through the instrument tray, shielded flexible cables are required, but entering the instrument tray is also not recommended. (It doesn’t matter if it’s inserted.) Use a 2.5-square-millimeter flexible grounding wire; of course, the larger the better. For the connection between cabinet rooms (between the safety barrier cabinets and the system cabinets), one flat flexible cable is sufficient; for connections between cabinets on-site, the same type of cable should be used as those for 24V and 220V power supply cables.
This post was last edited by yuchenchf on 2016-9-1 at 16:56. 24VDC power cable: KVV control cable; 220VAC power cable: KVV control cable. You can choose the specific specifications (core size/jacket/insulation material) as you wish.
If I were designing a system powered by 220vac, I would definitely not choose KVV cables, as they are used for power supply circuits. Go and ask how your home’s electrical system is designed.

For high-power electrical devices such as heaters, it is indeed not suitable to use KVV. And using electrical power supply cables such as YJV or VV cables is not contradictory to each other.
