I left my job in April and still haven’t found a new one; seeking advice

I was born in 1983; I used to work in oilfield chemical companies in the west, handling research and development as well as production management projects. Now I’m looking for a job in Changsha, but I can’t find anything that suits me – those offering basic positions think my experience is too extensive, and the salary offered isn’t appropriate for my skills. To the point where I don’t even have a chance to do it. There are hardly any matching positions either. I’ve been feeling quite distressed lately; I hope everyone can offer some advice on finding a job.
It’s really frustrating to still be drifting around after reaching one’s thirties. At least if one isn’t burdened by car or mortgage loans, they still have a place to live. It’s better to find a company with potential for growth, even if the salary is lower; gold will shine wherever it is. These days, the economic situation in various companies isn’t very good. Generally, it’s best to avoid using people if possible.
Don’t leave yourself with nothing to do; if you still want to work in that field, the only option is to start at a lower position first. After all, when you change workplaces, you need time to get familiar with the new environment and build new networks. It’s better to have a job first, but still keep looking for something better; I think that’s more realistic.
It seems he’s from Hunan. There aren’t many chemical companies in Changsha; I know of a few in the paint industry. I used to think about going back to Hunan, but after learning more about the situation, I lost that idea

These days, large chemical plants are all located in remote areas; they’re not very popular in the cities, just like ours. Abandoning big cities is just to make a living, right?:D
