Is there only one stripping column in actual production, with it being divided into three for simulation purposes, or are there indeed three stripping columns? I guess there should be only one stripping tower, because in the simulation the stripping tower has fewer than 4 trays; it’s unlikely to be such a small tower. If that’s indeed the case, then how can it be divided into three towers? I hope someone can help answer this question for me :)
In practice, there are three or four stripping towers, with the number of trays ranging from four to ten (depending on the specific conditions of each plant)
But why does the stripping tower shown in the CAD diagram have 18 trays, with all the side-stream products being drawn from this tower?

The number of stripping towers is determined by the number of side-product streams; they are simply grouped together in separate towers
