Do large valves used for heating require pressure relief installation (this is the case in the petroleum and petrochemical industry), with the pressure generally not exceeding 2.5 MPa? Assuming the water temperature changes by 100 degrees Celsius, by how much does the shell pressure increase?

Long-distance pipelines in the oil and petrochemical industry are generally installed (mainly due to topographical factors; in some areas, the slope spans long distances). For heating systems, it depends on the pipeline pressure – safety valves are installed when the pressure is high
In the petroleum and petrochemical industry, it is called a surge pressure relief valve. It is an automatic protective valve designed to prevent abnormal pressure fluctuations in pipelines caused by sudden flow changes, as well as damage to pipeline systems and equipment resulting from surge pressures. Safety valves cannot be used for this purpose, as their discharge capacity is not sufficient! Generally, the safety valve closes once the pressure drops below the set value, and there is not enough discharge capacity to eliminate the transient flows and water hammer in the pipeline!
