Are there any formulas for calculating catalyst loss due to natural wear and loss under abnormal operating conditions? Is there an empirical formula for catalytic cracking?
We do not calculate the running losses directly; instead, we make judgments based on actual operational conditions. By taking into account the specific consumption, we observe changes in the solid content of the slurry, as well as changes in the catalyst concentration at the inlet and outlet of the three spinners, and use all these factors together for a comprehensive assessment
Generally, it refers to the amount of fresh catalyst added; the losses consist of the waste catalyst recovered from the three-spinners, plus the amount carried away by the slurry system, and plus the amount introduced into the flue gas desulfurization process via the flue gas
Thank you, but I just want to know the calculation formula. A paper mentions that the calculation is done using Shi Mingxian’s formula from the Petroleum University as well as another formula from abroad; I couldn’t find those formulas
This formula was not found in the 2005 edition; let’s see if it can be found in the 1995 edition of Catalytic Cracking Engineering – I don’t have that book from 1995.
