Can we introduce a small amount of alkaline slag (50-200 KG/H) into the terminator and then into the catalytic riser? If so, what effects will it have on those aspects? Has that setup been tested? Could someone share the data? Thank you all! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Alkali slag or slag reduction? Two completely different concepts; there’s a huge difference between them! I assume you’re referring to slag reduction; if that’s the case, what is the purpose of using it in this way? And why was the terminator route chosen? The components of the slag reducer are similar to those of the oil slurry; why not use the same route as that for refining the oil slurry?

Alkali slag can be treated using specialized techniques; it can also be introduced in small amounts into flue gas desulfurization units to be partially processed there
Due to its high COD and high sulfur content, alkaline slag cannot be sent for flue gas desulfurization; it also cannot be fed into lift pipes. Its COD level must be reduced, and the quality of the wastewater discharged must meet specified standards before it can be released – ideally, this amount should be reduced as much as possible.
As the original poster of Alkali Slag mentioned, neither catalytic quenching nor flue gas desulfurization is an option; I recommend using it in a neutralization tank instead.
