Some manufacturers report difficulties in selling their products, which is why overall urea prices continue to fall. Since the weekend, the prevailing ex-plant prices for urea in Shandong region have dropped by 10–20 yuan per ton, to around 1150–1170 yuan; actual transaction prices are 20 yuan lower or more. Regarding large-grain urea, the mainstream ex-factory prices in Hebei region have dropped by about 50 yuan, to around 1,170 yuan, with transaction prices being slightly lower. Overall, export volumes are low and prices are low; the domestic demand gap for agricultural products is now very small. There is no boost in the production of fertilizer by compound fertilizer manufacturers during the autumn season. Although the overall operating rate of urea plants has not increased significantly, some manufacturers remain concerned that inventory levels might gradually rise.
