There is currently a compressed air storage tank with a pressure of 0.8 MPa. A DN25 pipeline is connected to the tank, and behind this DN25 pipeline lies a gas-liquid two-phase atomizing nozzle that requires an air pressure of 0.3–0.6 MPa. The air pressure supplied to the nozzle must be adjustable within the range of 0.3–0.6 MPa, but it must not exceed 0.6 MPa. How should this DN25 pipeline be designed? Is there a pressure relief valve available to allow the outlet pressure to be adjusted? What are the methods for making such adjustments?
Just add an adjustable pressure relief valve
May I ask whether the adjustable pressure reducing valve is automatically controlled or manually adjusted? Is there any information on this topic?
{:3_54:} If you have a high degree of automation and can install control valves by yourself to achieve automatic control, that’s fine. If manual operation is required, then add a flow restriction orifice plate; you can determine its size by consulting the company that specializes in manufacturing such orifice plates
I suppose a control valve can adjust the flow rate, but it cannot adjust the pressure, right? We have designed it with a control valve, but we’re worried that it won’t be able to regulate the pressure
The pressure transmitter transmits the pressure signal from downstream to the PLC; controlling the control valve using this pressure signal is possible, provided that the automation system is sensitive enough, as mentioned earlier
