Key instruments and valves for MTBE units and C3C4 dehydrogenation units

Dear sea gods, those of you who have worked on MTBE plants and C3C4 dehydrogenation units – which instruments and valves in these plants are considered critical? Why are they critical? Thank you for your answers!

I’m not sure from which perspective the original poster considers something to be important. I work on MTBE process design, and now that you mention it, I think the isolation valve between the tanks and pumps is quite important. Because these valves are part of the SIS interlock, they cannot be closed when the pump is running. Of course, there are many more valves in the SIS interlock system. .

What type of valves are used in all of them?
I’ve worked with MTBE; I can’t remember any valves in particular.
The remaining liquefied gas from the MTBE unit is not sent directly to the dehydrogenation unit
